CURSILLO
The Cursillo Movement is focused to help each of us fulfill our baptismal responsibility: to go forth, as apostles, and proclaim the Gospel. We must make a conscientious effort to "tell" the world about Christ. The Cursillo Movement provides us with the necessary tools for fulfilling our baptismal responsibility along with the training for using those tools.
Begun in Spain in 1950, Cursillo is a Spanish word that means "short course". This short course takes the form of a 4 day retreat during which attendees are exposed to a specific method by which they can gain practical knowledge and tools to be used in living out our calling as Catholic Christians. These retreat weekends are held twice annually in the Atlanta Archdiocese, typically in the spring and fall. Since men and women experience their faiths in unique and distinctive ways, retreat weekends are split up into one for men and one for women, so that each can be more closely attuned to those specific needs.

ULTREYA
Ultreya is an event of spiritual encouragement that is designed to follow up one's Cursillo retreat weekend. Ultreya is the parish-level continuation of Cursillo. Our evening is one of support and fellowship. We open with a potluck dinner followed by a witness talk and a Spirit driven activity. While Ultreya is the natural continuation of Cursillo, it is not mandatory to have made a Cursillo retreat weekend to attend. Those who have not yet been on the Cursillo retreat are encouraged to join our Ultreya evening to see if Cursillo is right for you.If you have any questions about Ultreya, please contact
