St. Michael’s Food Pantry
Our Food Pantry is open and has returned to a “client choice” model. Each client is welcomed to come inside our pantry and shop for themselves for the food items that best suit their family’s needs. If a no-contact method is desired, food pantry volunteers will pre-pack two boxes of food for you and deliver it to your vehicle. St. Michael’s Food Pantry serves any Cherokee County resident in need of food.
The Food Pantry is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 10:00 am until 11:45 am. An appointment is not necessary, we serve on a first come – first served basis.

FOOD DONATIONS:
The food pantry donation box is located inside the narthex of the church. The food pantry accepts all donations of non-perishable food items.
Please check the Parish bulletin for an updated list of needed food items.
(Monetary donations can be made using food pantry envelopes, located on the welcome table in the Narthex, or via online giving.)
One of the greatest gifts we are able to provide to families in need is the gift of a nutritious meal. The St. Michael's Food Pantry is stocked by the generous contributions of St. Michael the Archangel's parishioners, the Atlanta Community Food Bank and our retail partners, Publix and BJ's. St. Michael's Food Pantry provides frozen meats, fresh produce, dairy products, many kinds of non-perishable foods, personal items and bakery items. Food is distributed to those in need by volunteers. Often a family may have spent the last of their monthly income to pay a utility bill and with a week before the next paycheck, find that they are out of food.
St. Michael's Food Pantry provides about a week's, or more, worth of groceries so that children have a nourishing breakfast to start their day, lunches to take to school and enough food to provide for the family meal at the end of the day.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteering at the food pantry is ideal for those who may have other responsibilities that limit the amount of time they are able to offer. Even if you can only volunteer one or two days each month, you are welcomed to volunteer at St. Michael’s Food Pantry.
